Kansas Public Radio this morning aired two stories looking at Gov. Sam Brownback’s decision to return a $31.5 million federal grant awarded last spring to help Kansas officials create an insurance purchasing exchange.
In the first story, KPR’s Bryan Thompson reports on a decision by the Kansas Chamber of Commerce to suspend forums scheduled to show businesses how a health insurance exchange might work in Kansas.
<br clear=”all” />In the second story, KHI News Service’s Jim McLean reports on Brownback’s decision and reaction to it by Kansas Insurance Commissioner Sandy Praeger and Jeff Ellis, a Kansas City lawyer leading one of the exchange work groups. The piece also features Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer explaining the administration’s decision to return the federal money.
