KANSAS CITY, KAN., Jan. 19
Top University of Kansas
officials and U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., are scheduled to be on hand for a ribbon cutting ceremony Tuesday at the new Kansas Life Sciences Innovation Center.
The ceremony will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Beller Conference Center on the first floor of the center, which is at the northeast corner of 39th Street and Rainbow Boulevard in Kansas City, Kan.
The 205,000 square-feet facility will house researchers studying liver disease, infertility, improving brain health and nerve function, and obesity and diabetes.
Among those scheduled to attend are KU Chancellor Robert Hemenway and Executive Vice Chancellor Barbara Atkinson, Bill Hall of the Hall Family Foundation, and former Lt. Gov. Gary Sherrer.
