Political, business analyst to speak at KAC event

Matt Miller, an author, political commentator and radio host, will speak at the Kansas Action for Children’ anniversary luncheon on Thursday, Feb. 4.

Miller is an award-winning contributor to The New York Times, Fortune and The Washington Post. He hosts the national radio program “Left, Right and Center,” and is a consultant to corporations, governments and nonprofits throughout the country.

He previously served as a senior budget advisor during the Clinton administration and was a White House Fellow during the first Bush administration.

Miller has authored two books, the best-selling “2% Solution: Fixing America’s Problems in Ways Liberals and Conservatives Can Love” and his latest, “The Tyranny of Dead Ideas: Letting Go of the Old Ways of Thinking to Unleash a New Prosperity.”

The luncheon to celebrate the organization’s 30th anniversary, is scheduled for 11:45 a.m. at Maner Conference Center in Topeka. It is expected to draw about 400 people including legislators, business and community leaders from across the state.
