TOPEKA, Oct. 15
Gov. Kathleen Sebelius has appointed Dr. M. Myron Leinwetter, an osteopath, to a 4-year term on the State Board of Healing Arts.
“This board ensures that when a Kansan seeks medical care, their practitioner is a qualified, certified and accountable professional,” Sebelius said in a prepared statement. “I appreciate Dr. Leinwetter”s willingness to serve.”
Leinwetter, of Rossville, graduated from the University of Kansas School of Pharmacy in 1978 and the College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Mo. in 1983. He is the medical director at the Shawnee County Health Agency.
Before joining the health agency, Leinwetter was a staff physician at the Montezuma Clinic in Dodge City; the Rossville Clinic; and the Marian Clinic in Topeka.
Also, Dr. Merle Hodges, of Salina, and Dr. Gary Counselman, of Topeka,
have been reappointed to the board, Sebelius” office said.
